I visited Sadie Coles HQ and went to a private view at Royal Academy. I found some brilliant references for the design of my zine and inspiration for the next ThoughtCounter edition.
Helen Marten – Broken Villas

Helen Marten – A Tantrum Carved From Stone

This made me wonder if I could use select illustrations from the yogic books I’ve read (ie. the chakra system, different stages of samadhi) in a similar way to the translucent cover shown above, with the chess board illustration.

I could do my own version of the green card pullout/insert (above) which can be removed from the publication. It reminded my of a card a buddhist monk gave me when I was reading a book by the Thames near Southbank.

Viewed at Royal Academy. I like the visual simplicity of this piece exploring time. It’s a good reference for the next edition of ThoughtCounter relating to concentration and timelessness.
